The blog that we will be creating in this article will have a very clean design including the latest features of a modern looking blog. We’ll be creating it using a platform called WordPress. WordPress makes it very easy to create a blog without knowing any programming or coding.

So, Let’s get started.
Step 1: Choosing a Name for Your Blog

The first step is to choose a name for your blog. So, just enter the blog address in the box and then click check availability. If the name is unavailable, try changing its domain extension to .com, .info, .in .net .org etc.

The first step to finding a good blog name is choosing your topic. If you are not sure what to blog about, there are a few ways to find a good blog topic:

Hobbies & Passions
Hobbies or other interests you are passionate about are a great place to start. Cooking, travel, fashion, sports, and cars are all classic examples. But even blogs about more obscure hobbies can be successful, since the your audience is literally anyone in the world with the internet.
Life Experiences
Everyone has lessons they have learned through life experience. Sharing this knowledge can be incredibly helpful to others in similar situations. Think about the things you have experienced in life. This could be related to your family, work (a blog about experiences dealing with clients), or other life experiences (a blog about dealing with a troubling time such as a disease or divorce, or about a happy time such as preparing for a wedding or a birth of a child).
A Personal Blog
A personal blog is a blog all about you. This will include a variety of topics, from things you do on a daily basis, to random thoughts and musings. This is a great way to share you thoughts with the world without having to stick to just one topic.
Once you have a topic it is time to choose your blog name.

A good blog name should be descriptive so that potential readers can instantly tell what your blog is about just from the name. If you are blogging about one specific topic then you will definitely want to include that in some way in your blog name. Try not to get hung-up on just one word though. For example, a cooking blog does not necessarily have to have the word 'cooking' in it. The words 'food' , 'recipes', and 'meals' would also let people know that your blog is about cooking.
Step 2: Getting Domain & Hosting
The next step is to register the Blog name and get Hosting. Now, registering gives you ownership and Hosting puts your blog on the internet. For doing this, you need to click 'Get Domain and Hosting'.

Step 3: Installing a New Theme

To install a theme, you need to login back to your blog. So, just add '/login' after your blog address and then press enter. Now, go to appearance and click themes.

Step 4: Adding Content to Your Blog

To complete our blog, we’ll be adding 12 different items.
1) Adding Blog Posts. Blog posts are simply the articles that you post to your blog. So, to add your first post, go to your blog and then go to new and click post.

2) Changing the Blog Title. To change the blog title, just go to Customize and click Site Identity.
3) Creating Menu. Go to Customize again and then click Menu. Now create a new menu and then choose the location. You can also add pages to the menu like the About and Contact page.
4) Adding Category Pages to the Menu. Small tags in blog posts are the categories. To add it to the menu, you need to create them first. So, go to a blog post and then add a new category. Once, it's created you can then add them to the menu.
5) Adding Content to the About Page. An about page is important because it tells the readers about you. So to add that, just go to the About Page & click Edit.
6) Adding Contact Form. A contact form helps your readers to get in touch with you. To add a contact form, you need to install a plugin. Now, a plugin helps you to add new features to your blog.
7) Adding Social Sharing Buttons. (Below All the Blog Posts). These buttons will make it easy for your readers to share the articles.
8) Adding Social Media Links. (In the Menu). These links help your readers to find you on social media sites. So, to add this, click customize and then create a new menu for social media links.
9) Adding About the Author Section. (Below All the Blog Posts). This sec will help your readers to know about the person who wrote the article. So, to add that, you need to go to your Dashboard and then go to users and update your profile.
10) Adding About Me Section. (On the Sidebar). Install a plugin. Once it's activated, you need to go to appearance and then click Widgets. A Widget page is where you can add/remove small functions in your blog. Now, find the plugin and then drag & drop it to the post sidebar.
11) Adding Social Media Links. (On the Sidebar). Install a plugin called. Once, it's activated, just go to widgets and then add the smart social widget to the sidebar.
12) Adding Read More Section. (On the Sidebar). Read More section helps your readers to continue reading more of your articles.
Okay! So, now we’ve added all the items to our blog.
What Should Your First Blog Post Be About?
Now that you’ve got an idea on how to create your first post, it’s time to figure out what you’re going to write about. While there are no hard and fast rules for what you need to write about, you may approach as follows:
Introduce Yourself
Explain who you are (personally) as well as introducing your business. Consider starting out with a personal story to “hook” readers into your post, and talk about how and why you started your business.
Communicate Blog’s Purpose
Answer these key questions: Why did you start your blog? What do hope to achieve through it? Who are you writing for?
Briefly Address Issues or Main Point
Show your readers that you understand what they’re dealing with, and that you can offer possible solutions to their problems.

If you want to add a quote, clicking this button will give your quote some special formatting so it stands out.
Lists
Bulleted and numbered lists are essential for blogging. They help break up large chunks of text for easier reading.
Toolbar Toggle
This can be found at the far right of the formatting options. Clicking on this will give you some additional formatting options like underline, changing text color, and adding headings.
Add Media
The Add Media button can be found above the other formatting options, and allows you to add images or videos.
Note : You will see two tabs just above the main content box: Visual and Text. For the most part, just stick with the Visual tab. The Text tab will require you to delve into the HTML of your post, so is better left for when you are more comfortable with blogging.
